Find your voice in Dutch – organised by Toastmasters Hasselt Open House

Speaking Dutch in everyday conversations is one thing. Presenting your ideas, contributing to meetings or speaking in front of an audience can be quite another.

On Saturday, 31 October, Toastmasters Hasselt opens its doors to anyone interested in becoming a more confident and effective speaker.

Whether you use Dutch at work or simply want to feel more comfortable expressing yourself in front of others, this open house is a great opportunity to discover something new.

Toastmasters, what’s that?

Toastmasters International is a worldwide non-profit organisation that helps people develop their public speaking, communication and leadership skills.

Members learn by doing: giving speeches, responding to unexpected questions and offering each other constructive feedback in a supportive setting.

What can you expect?

During the open house, you can:

• Experience a Toastmasters club meeting.
• Discover how speeches and speaking exercises work.
• Learn how feedback helps build confidence.
• Meet people interested in communication and personal development.

No pressure to speak! You’re just as welcome to sit back, observe and see how it works.

Good to know

The club meeting takes place in Dutch, making it particularly interesting for internationals who already speak the language and want to become more confident using it.

An English-language workshop is also available to select during registration.

Keep in mind that Toastmasters is not a Dutch language course. The focus is on communication and public speaking.
